Equipment

  • baking sheet
  • parchment paper or foil
  • small mixing bowl
  • spoon
  • oven

Ingredients

  • 1 wheel brie cheese (8–12 oz)
  • 0.5 cup raspberry jam or strawberry preserve
  • 1 tbsp red currant jam (optional, for deeper red color)
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar or water (to thin jam)
  • crackers, sliced baguette, or crostini for serving
  • optional garnish: rosemary sprigs, edible 'eyes,' or fresh thyme

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  • Place the brie wheel in the center of the sheet. If in a wooden box, bake inside the box if oven-safe (after removing plastic wrap).
  • In a small bowl, mix raspberry jam with red currant jam if using. Stir in balsamic vinegar or water to thin slightly.
  • Spoon jam mixture over the top of the brie, letting some drip down the sides for a gory effect.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes until brie is soft and beginning to ooze but not collapsed.
  • Remove from oven. Garnish with rosemary sprigs, edible 'eyes,' or extra jam drizzle for spooky decoration.
  • Serve immediately with crackers, crostini, or baguette slices for dipping.

Notes

Use raspberry or strawberry jam for bright red 'blood,' or red currant for deeper color. Thin the jam with vinegar or water for the dripping effect. Garnish with rosemary sprigs, edible 'eyes,' or even nuts for added texture. Serve immediately for maximum ooze.
